We have recently had a variety of classic and modern classic cars use our state-of-the-art rolling road to ensure they are finely tuned for great performance and drivability.

It’s been a Ford-filled week here at Speedshop44, with some real icons rolling through our doors. We’ve had a trio of Ford’s best-selling models come in for a refresh and mapping - the Cortina, Mustang, and Escort Mk2.

Some of the OEM ECUs used in the early Lotus models (especially the Elise) have developed a bit of a reputation as they are approaching an age where the ECU starts becoming more problematic, making this a must-have replacement on the Lotus cars.

Speedshop44 and P&K Thornton Restorations hosted their first joint event on Saturday 5th of April. This event was an open day event to celebrate the opening of Speedshop44 and a local TVR meet-up hosted in the new social space at our workshops. Barista coffee was served, and we had a wide variety of classic cars on show including a TVR Chimaera and Tuscan.

It’s the start of a new beginning for this 1981 Pre-Production Audi Quattro which has arrived at our workshops for a full concours standard restoration.

We have recently had a Ford Escort RS Cosworth come into the Speedshop44 workshops for servicing and modifications to return the rally car to its original specifications. These rally cars are highly sought-after by collectors, especially the original big turbo models produced between 1992 to 1994 and models that have the original factory specifications.
